Comment est née l’envie d’une telle émission ?

« La compagnie théâtrale » est née de l’envie de vous faire partager une passion pour cet Art extraordinaire qu’est le Théâtre qui invite à voir, à voir l’autre et à se voir soi-même. Le Théâtre n’est pas une fin en soi mais un médium qui, à travers le verbe incarné, réveille l’imaginaire et élève l’esprit, ouvre le regard sur l’humain et le monde.

Quels sont les enjeux ? Que souhaitez-vous faire découvrir ?

A travers portraits, entretiens, reportages, la Compagnie Théâtrale vous fera :

– connaitre ou reconnaître des « grands noms » du Théâtre,

– découvrir ces nombreux métiers de l’ombre si mal connus mais indispensables à la vie d’un théâtre, (costumière, éclairagiste, technicien,…)

– rencontrer des acteurs et actrices du monde théâtral ( comédien-ne-s, metteurs en scène, professeur-e-s, directeurs, directrices …)

– prendre connaissance de l’actualité théâtrale

– approcher des œuvres

– jouer avec les mots et le langage théâtral

– comprendre certaines facettes de l’histoire du Théâtre

Qui est Jacques Mateu ?

Jacques Mateu est :

Chirurgien, passionné par le vécu des corps, il organise depuis 2008 à Montpellier les « Assises du Corps Transformé »,

Mais ce grand admirateur est surtout « étudiant en Théâtre », Il est enfin « consultant médical » pour le cinéma avec participation comme comédien dans quatre longs métrages : « A cœur ouvert », « 9 mois ferme », « Au revoir là-haut » et « Adieu les cons »

Il est membre de l’Académie des Sciences et Lettres de Montpellier

D’où vient cet amour pour le théâtre ?

« La passion du Théâtre est née dans l’enfance du plaisir du jeu et du déguisement, de l’évasion que cela procurait ! Plus tard, baccalauréat en poche, j’ai longuement hésité entre deux passions, Médecine et Théâtre, et opté finalement pour la première sans jamais oublier la seconde que je nourrissais en allant au Théâtre voir tant pièces classiques du répertoire qu’œuvres contemporaines…

En 2009 une audition m’ouvrait les portes du cours Cochet pendant quelques années avant de poursuivre avec Robin Renucci et les Tréteaux de France, puis avec Daniel Mesguich. Quelle chance que de pouvoir ainsi vivre cette deuxième passion, étudier le Théâtre (écriture, jeu, mise en scène) et approcher celles et ceux qui lui ont consacré leur vie.

Le Théâtre est pour moi une telle nécessité que je serais heureux de jouer le rôle de « passeur » et paradoxe pour un médecin, tout faire pour être « contagieux »…! »
